Original still life in soft pastel
Description: The piece was developed by first blocking in the overall shape using the darkest values, then refined with layered blue-violet tones to shape the bird’s form. Background colours were applied in overlapping strokes with varied mark-making, creating depth and rhythm. The lightest values — soft greys and lemon creams — were added last to highlight movement and luminosity.
